Please note that our area experiences black flies from mid-May to mid-June. While these tiny insects are a natural part of the season, we recommend bringing insect repellent and wearing long sleeves for added comfort. Enjoy your stay and the beauty of nature!

Fishing Disclaimer:
A fishing license is required to fish in the state of New Hampshire. Licenses can be obtained online or at the Washington General Store on Route 31, just five minutes from the house.

–> Make sure to take a picture or print check-in instructions and Wi-Fi info before leaving home as there is no cell service. Also might be a good idea to print directions.

–> This is a rural area and bears are occasionally seen. Please be aware and keep all food inside the home and trash in designated bins.

-> The property is 1.25 miles down an improved dirt road.

–> Make sure to bring your groceries on the way in as the nearest grocery store is 30 mins away in Hillsborough and there is a convenience store 15 min away in Washington.

–> Please note this property is best suited for kayaks, paddle boards etc. We do not recommend bringing motorized boats. Guest are not allowed to use the boat launch at Highland Haven Association due to regulations

–> Please keep in mind guest are not allowed to use any of the Highland Haven Association amenities such as Boat launch, picnic area or trails. However, there are public trails about 3 miles away on Valley rd.

–> For guest wanting to use provided kayaks please bring your own life jackets as we only provide a couple
and we might not have your size. Also note you will need to sign/agree to liability waiver.

SMOKING FEE DISCLAIMER: We take great pride in providing a clean and comfortable environment for all our guests. To ensure the well-being of everyone who stays in our property, we strictly enforce a no-smoking policy.

SMOKING FEE: A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if evidence of smoking is found within the premises. This fee is intended to cover the costs associated with professional odor removal and restoration of the property to its smoke-free condition.
Our property is routinely inspected for smoke odors after every reservation. If smoking is detected during or after your stay, the smoking fee will be applied to cover the necessary cleaning and restoration processes.

The main level offers two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a warm dining area, and a large living room, all with that classic log cabin feel.

Upstairs, the loft area holds a queen mattress — a cozy, tucked-away space for sleeping under the exposed beams.

–> Pats peak and Mount Sunapee are both a 30 minute drive from the cabin for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing.

–> Snowmobile trails can be accessed right from the house.

–> Important: The lake is generally good for swimming, but it can become quite mucky in front of our property, making it less ideal for swimming. However, we do provide two kayaks that you can use to paddle to better swimming spots nearby. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions!

–>Lake is controlled by a dam and is water level is approximately 30″ lower than pictures show from October 15th to May 15th.

–> This is a very popular fishing lake in the summer and winter. With tournaments happening multiple times a year.

–> This property is 30 min from lake Sunapee
